PhilSEP membership is open to all philosophers, education researchers, and educators from, based in, or with ties to the Philippines, who are interested in philosophy of education and educational theory. We currently have two membership tiers: Regular Membership and Associate Membership.
Regular members should either: (1) have a higher education degree that includes a specialization in philosophy or education, or (2) have a government-recognized teaching qualification/license. Regular Members should also be either currently affiliated with an educational institution, or be currently or formerly employed as an educational researcher.
Undergraduate students and other interested applicants who do not fulfill one of the above requirements may apply for Associate Membership. Associate members do not have voting rights within the organization.
In 2025, membership gives you free access to the annual conference in November, as well as to the webinar series held across the year.
For the calendar year 2025, membership contribution for Regular Members is Php 1000, and for Associate Members, it is Php 500. Memberships are valid from January 1 to December 31 of the calendar year. Official receipts will be issued after payment; certificates of membership can also be given upon request. PhilSEP is a SEC-registered non-stock, non-profit organization.
