After online organizational meetings held beginning in October 2023, the Philippine Society of Education and Philosophy was officially established in February 2024 by its founding members Rowena Azada-Palacios (ADMU), Noel Clemente (ADMU), Gina Opiniano (Philippine Tax Academy), Bernardo Caslib, Jr. (UP-Manila), Kriedge Alba (FEU, now with UST), Maricris Acido-Muego (UP-Diliman), Marella Ada Mancenido-Bolaños (UST), Symel De Guzman-Daulat (UP-Diliman), Prince Airick Gapo (UST) and Rodrigo Abenes (PNU). Since its founding, PhilSEP has organized one national conference, in partnership with the University of Santo Tomas Department of Philosophy and with the support of the Philosophy of Education Society of Australasia (PESA). It has also organized a webinar series, featuring distinguished speakers from the Philippines and other parts of the world.
